Does the tax office accept partial payments?
No, the tax office does not accept partial payments. Company checks, personal checks,
money orders, or cash are accepted in full for a tax payment.
How can I change the name or address on my tax statement?
If you no longer live or own the property you are receiving bills for, or you are
the new owner of the property, you may contact the central appraisal district's
office to correct any information on your statement. All names, addresses, and exemptions
are maintained by the County Appraisal District. The addresses/phone numbers of

What do I do if I received a letter from the delinquent tax attorney?
Contact the delinquent tax attorney's office to make plans to pay your delinquent
taxes.
Is the taxpayer responsible for paying taxes if they do not receive a tax statement?
Taxpayers are responsible for all taxes and penalties and interest even if they
do not receive a tax statement.
Why do I pay a water bill and MUD taxes?
The water bill pays for general operating expenses and your monthly water usage.
Taxes pay the capital cost of building water plants, sewer plants, and or major
drainage facilities.
Who do I contact if I need water service connected or disconnected?

Why did I receive a MUD tax bill and a LID tax bill from Tax Tech?
Some properties in Ft. Bend County are located within both a MUD (Municipal Utility
District) and a LID (Levee Improvement District). Such properties must pay taxes
to both districts, but these districts are 2 completely separate entities and a
separate payment (2 checks, 2 money orders, etc.) must be made to each.
